Concussions in Football
There are many concussions yearly in football. Researchers want to know if we can decrease a lot of the numbers. Is this becoming a problem? Can researchers find a solution to this problem? Will they ever call football safe?
In youth football, is when you learn the basics in football. This should be your starting point. Starting at a young age is best your child to help them learn the game and protect themselves from injury. Football is a great way to keep kids out of trouble. Concussions mainly occur in youth football, when a player does not know what they are doing.
Middle school football and high school football is when you have to get tough and very aggressive. Middle school and high school has the most reported concussions yearly. These concussions mainly happen when football players are doing hitting drills, tackling drills, and scrimmages or(ing). These injuries are common because you get more aggressive. In high school you start lifting weights to build up your muscles. This can help you become stronger, so you might be able to take a harder hit.
In college football and the NFL you get a mix of injuries like a torn hamstring, broken leg, ruptured spleen, ect. You will get a concussion still, but you might have a higher chance of suffering a different injury. These groups have physical trainers, that can tell signs of a concussion. If they think you have one, they will take you out of the game into the locker room and a clinic-type room.
In conclusion, you want to know how tell signs of a concussion. Concussions can cause severe brain damage and can even lead to paralysis. Researchers and scientists are looking and working on technology to reduce and possibly stop concussions in football. If you already suffered a concussion, your chances are high on getting another one. CONCUSSION NUMBERS NEED TO GO DOWN PERIOD!!!
